Programs, Classes, Groups & Events

Come Holy Spirit Banner_ CCD Classes meet on Wednesdays from 6 - 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 10 AM, from September through May in the Church Hall. Registration is ongoing. Summer Religious Education  program continues every Wednesday evening @ 6  p.m. throughout June in the Parish Hall.


The Youth Group welcomes all teens, 7th - 12th Grade, to join them for fellowship on Wednesdays, September thru June, from 6 to 7:30 PM in the Parish Hall.


Adult Faith Formation occurs throughout the year with programs appropriate to the season and in answer to expressed needs.  The Rites of Christian Education  program is available every Wednesday evening at Lazarus starting September for those interested in being more informed about the Catholic Faith and those seeking preparation as a Candidate or Catechumen to be received into the Church during Easter Vigil.


The Prolife Rosary Group meets every Saturday at 5:00 PM.


The Parish Council usually meets the second Monday of the month at 5:30 PM in the Church Hall, unless otherwise noted in the Bulletin.

 

The Parish Finance Committee usually meets the second Monday of the month at 5:30 PM in the Church Hall, unless otherwise noted in the Bulletin.

S.P.A.M.M. - The St. Patrick's and Mother Mary Travel Group meets monthly on the last Thursday of each month. The group welcomes parishioners  with an interest in local and longer travel to join us. Recent outings have included a pilgrimage to Israel to travel in the footsteps of Jesus and to witness a Mass offered by Pope Francis in Bethlehem; Cullman, AL; Plains, GA (Jimmy Carter's hometown); a tour of the Museum of Antiquities in LaGrange, GA and a recent cruise to Mexico. 

 

The Lazarus Society Inc. "Helping others help themselves"- The Church through the Lazarus Society meets needs of the larger community.  Lazarus Outreach is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:00 in the morning.  The first 20 who come to the door for assistance are seen. Food, clothing, prescription assistance, utility and rent assistance are offered when the funds are available.  There is also a layette program for new mothers wherein a box of new baby items is supplied.  The Lazarus Thrift Shop is a two-fold blessing.  It provides Lazarus with the items necessary to meet the needs of clients as well as funds to help those who come to Lazarus for assistance.  Lazarus is a volunteer operation and always in need of a helping hand. SODALITY of the Blessed Virgin Mary - This organization meets the last Sunday of the month at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall followed by a recitation of the Rosary in the Church at 11 AM Read More-->..


Eucharistic Adoration - The Blessed Sacrament is exposed every Wednesday afternoon immediately after the 12:05 p.m. Mass.  It begins with a Novena to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal and ends at 3 p.m.
 
JustFaith Program - This program is part of JustFaith Ministries, helping transform people and expand their commitment to social ministry.  It is a 26 week course that educates people in the principles of Catholic Social Teaching and the Gospel Values from which that teaching springs.  The course happens within the context of a small faith community studying, exploring and experiencing Christ’s call to care for the poor and vulnerable.  Meetings begin in September.  Ca.ll Mr. Zettler at 706-324-6363 or go to www.justfaith.org for more information.
